Festival of ULB Report
The feast of ULB
was successfully celebrated in Aizawl, Mizoram, NE India with about 50 to
80 persons attending each day for eight days.
Believers from various districts of Mizoram came and participated
in the festival. In Andhra
Pradesh an eight-day festival was kept at the Medipally prayer hall in
Hyderabad with Pas. Y. Sunith Premanand, and in Malikipuram, E.G. Dt. an
eight-day festival was kept with bro. Issac Kusuma at the A.O.T.L.E.
prayer hall.
In the Name of Yahweh Telecast in
Aizawl, Mizoram
Pas. Brad Kissee
from Phoenix, Arizona, USA produced an Evangelistic television program
that teaches the fundamental truths held by the various believers that
call on Yahweh. The program is
called "In the Name of Yahweh".
It is being shown each Sunday from 6 to 7 pm in Aizawl, Mizoram, on
the LPS cable television station. The
television station is running the programs free of charge.
These programs are available on CD to any other place that might
like to show them.
Shavout, (Pentecost):
May 30, 2004
The feast of Pentecost
will be held this month in various places across Andhra Pradesh, Manipur,
and Mizoram. Bro. Matithyah
plans on keeping it in Malikipuram, E.G. Dt. A.P. with bro. Issac E.
Kusuma, 08862-227613.
According to the
book of Jasher(Joshua10:13; 2Sam.1:18), the Ten Commandments were given on
Sivan 6, which is about the same time that Pentecost will start.
Jasher 82:6 says, "And in the third month from the children
of Israel's departure from Egypt, on the sixth day thereof, Yahweh gave to
Ysrael The Ten Commandments on mount Sinai."
On the day the Ten Commandments were given "Mount Sinai was
covered with smoke, because Yahweh descended on it in fire",Ex.19:18.
On the day of Pentecost in Acts 2 Yahweh descended upon the early
disciples in tongues of fire,Acts 2:3.
In Ex. 20, Yahweh spoke to the Ysraelites from Mt. Sinai.
In Acts 2 Yahweh spoke to the Ysraelites from Mt. Zion.
So auspicious was the day the Ten Commandments were given that,
"Yahweh said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them
today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes, 11And be
ready against the third day:...",Ex.19:10,11.
In Ex. 24:8 Yahweh made a covenant with the Ysraelites that was
sealed by the blood of oxen. In
Acts 2 Yahweh made a new covenant with the children of Ysrael that was
sealed by immersion in water, Acts2:38-41;
Heb. 10:16-22.
The Torah of Yahweh
is the foundation of the covenant that Yahweh wants to make with all
mankind. We all should prepare
our hearts to seek Yahweh and ask Him to write His laws on our hearts and
minds that we may be enabled to do and be obedient to all of His commands.
We will then have authority to claim the promised blessings of the
covenant, Dt.7:12-15; 26:12-19; 28:1-14.
Doctrinal
Unity and Separation from Babylon
During
the last 11 newsletters, ten points of faith were looked at that are
generally held in common by the various believers that call on the Name of
Yahweh. (All newsletters are
posted on the internet at: www.sevendayweek.com)
Although there are many points that we can unify on, it will be
admitted that there are differences of belief amongst the various
congregation. But this is
normal as no two people will rarely see every point alike, we should
continue to humbly and diligently study these other points, and in due
time Yahweh will reveal the truth on these matters.
There
are points of belief that must bring a separation, as Yahweh calls us to
"Come out of her(Babylon), My people, that ye be not
partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and Eloah hath
remembered her iniquities." Rev. 18:2-4.
In Jer. 50:14 Yahweh says, "Put yourselves in array against
Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no
arrows: for she hath sinned against Yahweh"
The words of Jer. 50 and 51 are spiritually applied to spiritual
Babylon in Rev. 18. Yahweh
says, "Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his
soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the
Yahweh's vengeance; He will render unto her a recompense."
In the above it is seen that the term Babylon refers to an entity
that is teaching people by precept and practice to sin against Yahweh.
Sin is transgression of the law(Torah), 1Jn. 3:4.
So Yahweh calls upon His people to separate from any entity that is
leading people to transgress His commandments.
We are not only to separate from Babylon, but Yahweh also says to,
"shoot at her, spare no arrows".
As Yahshua exposed the sins of the religious leaders in His day, so
are we to do the same, that others might not be deceived and lost.
Any
entity or organization that claims to be a representative of the deity of
the Bible, but yet they teach against the Almighty Creators laws is a
false prophet or teacher, Isa. 8:20. This
would include all Sunday keeping and Jehovah and Jesus worshiping churches
as they are teaching by precept and example against the third and fourth
commandments. Yahweh loves the
people who are still in Babylon, that is why He says, "Come out of
her, My people". We
should seek to unite as far as possible, but there must be a separation
between those who do and those who do not keep the commandments of Yahweh.
Another
point that is causing many to be led astray is the belief that someone
goes straight to "heaven or hell" at the time of their death in
this world, (see AOYM Newsletter #8).
Through this false conception many are led to do the bidding of
Satan and his evil angels who will impersonate departed loved ones.
All beliefs and practices that bring one into contact with evil
spirits should be proscribed, Lev.20:27;
Dt.18:10-14; Ex.22:18.
Response
to last Newsletter
In
the last AOYM Newsletter #11, the modern day tongues movement was briefly
discussed. There were a few
responses received to this topic. There
is a true gift of tongues from Yahweh and there is a counterfeit gift of
tongues from Satan. Isa. 8:20
says, "To the Torah and the Teudah, if they speak not according to
this word it is because there is no light in them."
Most modern tongues speakers teach against the law of Yahweh and
thus Yahweh is not hearing their prayers, Prov. 28:9; Isa.56:6,7;
Mt.7:21-23. So how could their
gift be from Yahweh when He is not even listening to their prayers?
Now
there are people today that do uphold the law of Yahweh and they also
speak in tongues. Paul said
that when they speak in a tongue in the Assembly that there should be an
interpreter, if not, then they should be silent, 1Cor14:28.
The
modern day tongues movement is now practicing "holy laughter,
barking, screaming, etc...", none of these things were seen in the
Old or New Testament Assemblies. These
behaviors are bringing confusion into many assemblies, and "Eloah
is not the author of confusion", 1Cor.14:33.
We should not forbid speaking in tongues, but all things must be
done decently and in order, 1Cor.14:39,40.
I
recently read a book entitled Death of a Guru by Rabi R. Maharaj,
the book tells Rabi's life story of how he went from being a Hindu Priest
that was worshipped as a God, to being a Christian.
In the back of the book there was a glossary with several Hindu
terms listed. There were
certain Hindu ceremonies called "Mantra, Nyasa, and Shakti pat"
that show that what is taking place in many Christian churches is very
similar to ancient Hindu practices. The
quoted definitions below are found on pages 204-07 of the above-mentioned
book.
"Mantra
A sound symbol of one or more syllables often used to induce a
mystical state. It must be
passed on by the living voice of a guru and cannot be learned in another
way. One need not understand
the meaning of the mantra; the
virtue is in repetition of the sound.
It is said to embody a spirit or deity, and the repetition of the
mantra calls this being to the one repeating it.
Thus the mantra both invites a particular being to enter the one
using it and also creates the passive state in the meditator to facilitate
this fusion of beings."
Modern
day tongue speakers teach that one does not need to understand the
language that he or she speaks in, but that if one will only speak in an
unknown tongue they have received the Holy Spirit.
"Nyasa
The ceremonial act of calling a deity into the worshiper's body
by placing one's hands upon forehead, arms, and chest, etc., while
repeating a mantra. The
repetition of the mantra is itself designed to transform the worshiper
into the likeness of the deity embodied in the vibration or sound of the
mantra. Nyasa is intended to
strengthen this process."
When
I was growing up in the Assemblies of God Church, I remember how that a
similar practice as this was performed on me and many others in an attempt
to get us to receive the Holy Spirit.
Several elders of the church would surround someone and place their
hands on his or her head, neck, back etc... then they would begin speaking
in tongues over someone and they would usually have the person repeat some
phrase like "thank you Jesus" or "Halleluyah".
Many times the one being prayed for would suddenly start speaking
in an unknown language, thus symbolizing that they had received the
spirit. I do not believe this
was a Spirit of Yahweh that the people were receiving, as these churches
taught by precept and practice that the law of Yahweh was not binding
today.
"Shakti
pat A term used for the
touch of a guru, usually of his hand to the worshiper's forehead, that
produces supernatural effects. Shakti
literally means power; and in
administering the Shakti pat the guru becomes a channel of primal power,
the cosmic power underlying the universe, embodied in the goddess Shakti,
the consort of Shiva. The
supernatural effect of Shakti through the guru's touch may knock the
worshiper to the floor, or he may see a bright light and receive an
experience of enlightenment or inner illumination, or have some other
mystical or psychic experience."
Today
it is common for many church pastors to touch a person on the forehead
during their worship and the person will fall out in the floor, upon
awakening they might tell of some supernatural experience they have had.
This is typically called being "slain in the spirit".
But again, I do not believe it is Yahweh's Spirit that "slayed"
these people as the Churches that practice this are not keepers of
Yahweh's laws.
Thus
we see that many modern tongue speaking Christian churches today are
simply following the ancient Hindu practices of Mantra, Nyasa, and Shakti
pat.
Yahweh
gives His true Holy Spirit to those that obey Him, Acts 5:32.
A person will show that they have Yahweh's Holy Spirit working in
their life by bringing forth the fruits of "love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and
temperance", Gal. 5:22,23.
Yahshua Messiah had the fullness of the Holy Spirit in His life,Jn.
3:34, because He obeyed all of Yahweh's commandments, Jn.15:10.
But yet, Yahshua Messiah never spoke in tongues.
Thus, it is not necessary to speak in tongues in order to receive
the fullness of Yahweh's Spirit, but it is necessary to obey Yahweh's
commandments, if we desire to receive the fullness of His Spirit,Mt.5:19.
